True. Its really frightening. My own parents are part of that crowd. They believe dinosaurs walked the earth 10,000 years ago alongside people.

<blockquote>
Now our stubborn willfullness to turn a blind eye to any idea which threatens our way of life or how we see the world will potentially bring about the apocalyptic end-times that these same overly religious people fear so much.
</blockquote>

RFC, the religious people do not fear the End Times. They WANT the End Times. It will justify everything they believe in.

Just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to this website for helping to spread the truth and try to wake people up on this urgent matter.

I learned about Global Warming in my high school chemistry class over 10 years ago - back when it seemed a majority of people were ignorant or in denial of the problem. Even back then, and even as a teenager I saw clearly that the 'theory' of global warming was in fact a logical innevitability. For a number of years it contributed greatly to my depression and despair. If you think its tough NOW to convince someone of the truth it was much harder even such a short time ago.

It gives me hope to see that there HAS been progress in this endeavor to enlighten the masses and avert certain doom for humanity. But the question remains will we be able to wake people up in time? It took thousands upon thousands of years for people to accept the simple idea that the Earth is round, and that it rotates in orbit around the sun. Today it is considered common knowledge, but MANY people were burned at the stake for even voicing the idea.

What we are seeing now is the same pattern - ignorant, greedy, and fervently religious people who don't understand science or who are afraid of it are again pushing back against a very reasonable and simple idea. Given enough time I'm certain that global warming would become as conventional an idea as gravity, nobody will even question it. But now we don't have the luxury of time. Now our stubborn willfullness to turn a blind eye to any idea which threatens our way of life or how we see the world will potentially bring about the apocalyptic end-times that these same overly religious people fear so much.

Time to bring this rant to a close. Again, THANK YOU and know that there are many people out there who do know the true dangers we face and who are ready and willing to take real action to help wake people up. I hope this site begins to see more traffic and commentary.
