There is no proof that this drought is related to climate change. 
Climate change predictions cannot adequately resolve factors that might influence regional climates, such as the local effects of mountains, coastlines, lakes, vegetation boundaries, and heterogeneous soils, or how human activities might play a role. Climate Change is a natural occurrence, the world is not stagnant, the Sahara desert was not always a parched as it is today, Greenland had a vibrant farming community, and was much warmer.
