You know, it seems to me that by trying to shift the focus of debate to whether or not global warming is actually taking place, the denialists are succeeding in distracting from a major point: even if driving gas-guzzling vehicles, for example, *didn&#039;t* contribute to a-major-threatening-development-like-global-warming, it&#039;s still not a good idea, given the need to reduce our dependence on foreigh oil. Wasting energy = bad for many reasons.

		<description>Thnaks climateprogress -- you guys get to the essence of this dabate quicker than anyone out there.  Best example is the last point -- how a startling conclusion about sea level rise was kind of burried in details.

There&#039;s more than one way to obscure, and clearly the bad guys hoped that  by burrying this conclusion, it would go unoticed.  thanks for not letting them get away with it.</description>
