The NYT’s Matt Wald has a post-I35W article on “big old things,” which comprise America’s “decaying infrastructure, the capital investments of generations long gone.” He notes:

In the future, big old things may need to survive climate change, which some experts fear will produce more extreme weather, including droughts or deluges….
