					<description>Joe, as you know, you're one of the few voices out "there" who strives to bring this intensifying situation to the public's attention. That attention is not only fixated on business as usual, but it's become cynical of both the political process and the media. So as the reality becomes more dire, Britney Spears' performance at the music video awards serves as the opiate du jour.

I'm going to make sure at least that my local government is kept current with the science as you and others report it. They (the Marin County Supervisors), at least, seem to be waking up from their daydream.</description>
