Gore and IPCC win the Nobel Prize

October 12, 2007

The Nobel Peace Prize was awarded today to Al Gore, the former American vice president, and to the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change for their work to alert the world to the threat of global warming.

I am glad they included the IPCC. Gore’s selection, as noted, was very well deserved. The N.Y. Times has more on Gore’s amazing decade here.

Sure would be cool if Gore turned the money portion of the prize over to the solar turbine guy.
