		<description>I do not like fish in the role of household pets in aquariums. I have always wondered whether they are happy or not. Perhaps they are miserable, suffering from water that is too salty, oxygen deficient, stinky or too acidic. Perhaps they are perpetually tortured by that bubble maker, or by odors from the tank components. The owners of the fish don&#039;t know. The fish are not like cats or dogs. They can&#039;t give us feedback about their state of satisfaction with the conditions in the tank.

Now that fish tank is global. How many creatures of the sea are living miserable lives because of our folly?</description>
