		<description>The phrase Cables uses is partially true, which is appealing to the rubes. Beetle kill has always happened, but is almost always because of an environmental stressor. In this case, climate in the Front Range and Rockies has changed. 

Plus, the forests in BC are ahead of the US, and Canada started cutting down dead trees years ago, precipitating the &#039;softwood lumber war&#039; that the US media painted as evil Canada and barely mentioned the reason why Canada had so much lumber. 

Well, here is the US in the same boat - lots of standing dead stems without a market. Justice?
