David - You're correct. Both Clinton and Obama have issued fairly detailed climate platforms. The key words are "rapidly" and "aggressive". None of the three candidates, so far as I know, has committed to a timetable, and substantive action is not out of the President's control. The President has pretty substantial executive authority to act without waiting for Congress. That authority includes EPA's regulation of greenhouse gases and the ability to establish a cap and trade program without legislation. So, I'm looking not only for policy proposals, but a committment to rapid and bold action.

Bill B. --- You could ask them. All I know is that BHO has a climate position statement out there somewhere which does not appear to be hopelessly bad.
