This bill would increase energy prices $6.7 trillion.
Does anybody have any doubts what will happen if you increase prices … taxes … on producers. Higher prices for consumers and more pain at the pump.
Gas prices are already at record levels.
I have traveled all over Missouri, seeing businesses that are facing catastrophe from these gas prices.
Hired gasoline and diesel prices are the result of Congressional action … or inaction, blocking domestic drilling for 30 years.
If prices keep going up, we may not have a trucking industry.
How much will Lieberman Warner raise gasoline prices?
We need to be talking about what we can do increase supply to bring the prices down.
I find the logic a little bit disturbing, and we can afford to add $.53 a gallon to the price of gasoline.
The bill even says oil consumption will drop under this bill. Such a claim seems fantastical.
NRDC is behind this.
Nobody in their right mind would believe we are going to go to 50% generation of our power from wind and solar.
NRDC believes we’ll go up to 52 mpg. That would mean we would have a fleet of golf carts.
EPA says gasoline price will rise $.53 a gallon by 2030, $1.40 a gallon by 2050.
We’re on the wrong track.
We need to cut carbon, we don’t need to increase energy prices.
