		<description>Joe, I published a map yesterday showing where the offshore oil resources lie : 80% of them, according to the MMS, are in areas where drilling is currently allowed. As many have already pointed out, lifting the moratorium would do little to curb gas prices through increased supply: The MMS estimates that about 2.4 years of oil exist in the moratorium areas (at current levels of US consumption)...hardly enough to validate lifting the moratorium.

If this map got more publicity, I have a feeling that many folks&#039; minds would change on the issue.
