Joe,

My understanding is that Europe has had large subsidies for wind and solar for a very long time. Are there any countries in Europe that you would hold up as examples that the US should follow?

Denmark (lots of wind)
Germany (lots of wind/solar, planning to phase out nuclear for coal)
France (80% nuclear)
other ??

The main problems for wind/solar is that they are perceived to be much more expensive and less reliable than coal.

Are you happy with the US subsidies for bio?

Joe,

You are right on the point. The fact that McCain is nothing but pro-big oil has been proven again just a few hours ago when he announced the selection of AL governor Palin, who vehemently favors drilling in Alaska.
