House value collapsed, people-mover vehicle value collapsed, income tightening, credit tightening, interest rates rising, other costs rising. The whole household finance scheme's gone upside down and getting out of it is very difficult. Want to move closer to work, or a new job? Stuck in this house. Want to buy more affordable wheels? It's all uphill: resale value diminished, credit terms tougher, stock in high backorder. Wanna declare bankruptcy? Not under the new punitive terms you don't. We've shot ourselves in both feet and one hand. Families are getting mauled.
