The US auto industry fell to pieces under his watch and he's one of the reasons why. Instead of appeasing them and sucking at their contribution teats Dingell should have been standing up for the rest of us in the Untied States and holding that industry accountable for safety issues, for pollution damage and for fighting against consumer interest every single step of the way. The real proof of Dingell's legacy is the state of what used to be called the Big 3 who today are more accurately known as the The 3 Stooges. Dingell has NEVER been part of the solution but he is a big part of the problem.
