As far as I know the reasons for these drastic weather changes in australia and other parts of the world varies from water levels out of their normal bounds, surface evaporation level caused by building dams around the world, deforesting and also our popular carbon emmisions that is the main character in global warming.. no clods no rain… I have a hare brain idea… in areas of australia that have inland bound winds most of the year.. is it possible to build huge water heaters inside the sea hot enought to evaporate water (close to shore) and let the wind blow the vapour back inland.. calculate how much was the cloud density from past records and “make the clouds” go back to where they were… I dont know just a thought… I have more of these silly ideas here http://ravitherat.blogspot.com/2008/07/happening.html#links … by the way I am from malaysia.. but my fiancee is from victoria.. so I know how bad it is at the farms…

While you're in the voting mood, here's something else to vote on:

www.huffingtonpost.com/peter-diamandis/voting-for-the-25000-what_b_145273.html

One of the finalist "Green Idea Video" entries will win $25,000 based on the public's votes, and I imagine that the winning idea will have a better chance to actually be implemented. The 3 ideas were competitions for general energy efficiency actually deployed in communities, affordable off-grid housing, and battery improvements. Check the videos out to see if you'd like to vote for one.

The Conrad Foundation also has a renewable energy competition - in this case for high school students - with a registration deadline approaching:

Given the complete mess that the GISS data is now in as a result of inadequate quality control, I think it is vital that you vote against any sort of audit!

Good god, has no one told Watts' minions that it's, shall we say, disingenuous to accuse others of following 'groupthink' while they all ignore the rules in an effort to post a zillion nominations of their master's blog?

Judging from the number of upvotes on some of these, I suspect votebots as well.

Upvoted on Climate Progress (as others had already nominated it), nominated Tamino's.
