Global Warming Has Already Happened. In the mid 19th century, the Mississippi river froze over in the winter so you could drive on it at St. Louis. That's how St Louis became known as the gateway to the west. Now the Mississippi river is ice-free at Davenport, Iowa. Cattaraugus County New York [Olean, Little Valley] got 450 inches [37.5 feet] of snow per year in the 1950s and 1960s. Now it gets only 96 inches of snow per year.

One reason that temperatures might have remained flat for the last few years is that the energy from the sun trapped by greenhouse gases is going into melting the polar ice caps. You might remember from high school chemistry that solids maintain a constant temperature as they melt. The amount of energy required to melt a gram of a substance is called it's "heat of fusion". If your memory of high school is foggy and your chemistry chops are sagging, you can refresh your understanding of this at wikipedia or google.

<blockquote>
where is it ALOT warmer? where is it warmer? unless of course you use Sept data for Oct data, it sure seems to me that it has NOT WARMED FOR MORE THAN 10 YEARS. It sure seems like the same ole’ cycle. Why do you people persist? A one world order? U.N. control? What? help me understand….
</blockquote>
Why don't you just chalk it up to the same forces that conceal the flatness of the Earth? Namely, government conspiracy and alien mind-control beams.

Is rum your name or, given that you used lowercase, merely your beverage of choice?

In the future, however, you should know that I don't normally let people simply reprint long-debunked denier talking points -- ESPECIALLY NONSENSICAL STUFF IN ALL CAPITALS.

But your email is such an argument against your own position, I'm letting it through.

And the reason climate scientists persist is that they fervently hope to save the climate for your descendents in spite of your willful ignorance.
