Sometimes its all about the timing.

If the election of Obama had been last year and he pursued the policies he campaigned on, he would have been blamed for the 147 dollar/barrel oil and the recession. Now that we are in the recession as far as we are, Bush43 will be taking the blame for that and Obama can take the credit for the recovery with the government spending and investment. Not unlike Reagan who took credit for reducing inflation from 1979/1980, when the whole time it was Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volker and his tight money supply policies. (Producer Price inflation was at near zero when Reagan took office, much of Volker's policies already working.) When the Federal Reserve wants to pump up the money supply get the economy going, it will, just takes some time. Obama will be smart enough to slow down the inflation problem by increasing taxes on the wealthy to fill the government coffers with money before the Fed has to slam on the money supply brakes.

Since oil was already 147 dollars per barrel, if we've learned our lesson by buying and driving more fuel efficient vehicles, that would help to keep the oil prices down also.

So this may have been the election to win. Obama can take credit for bringing the economy back by just being on the lucky side of a business cycle.

Joe,

speaking of: 'senseless self-destructiveness.',

I see that the Congressman has also changed his party affiliation:

Congressman James Sensenbrenner (D-WI).

Joe, you should look into that.
