Who would have thought that goodie two shoes USofA, up holders of all thing good and democratic, would be the 1st one to violate this.

King of course really means 1st one for peak oil, as most wars are mostly about resources aren’t they?

UK government’s former chief scientific adviser says Iraq war was about oil, not weapons of mass destruction – and warns there will be more ‘resource wars’ to come

  3. Dear Dr. Holdren and Dr. Lubchenco,

If we were to set aside the questions either of increasing or decreasing energy resources, of global warming or cooling, of wealth increase or environmental degradation, of dissipating non-renewables or a growing global economy, would too many of our leaders still to be adamantly and relentlessly unwilling to confront the monstrous, widely shared and consensually validated understanding held that it is not politically convenient, economically expedient, socially agreeable or religiously tolerable to acknowledge, address and begin to humanely overcome, with as little discomfort and dislocation as possible, the primary cause of the looming threats to human wellbeing and environmental health: the leviathan scale and unbridled growth of absolute global human population numbers on Earth in our time?

First up for Dr. Lubchenco: FIX NPOESS, See: http://www.spaceref.com/news/viewpr.html?pid=18317
(2005 but VIIRS is still not fixed) and (something Dr. Lubchenco should be able to relate to): http://www.earthtoday.net/news/viewsr.html?pid=25593
How NOAA, DoD, and the contractors got away with this in spite of Nunn-McCurdy hearings (http://science.house.gov/ press/ PRArticle.aspx?NewsID=1133) is beyond me. Let’s just put it down as another example of the Cheney regime’s incompetence and desire that they’d rather NOT know anything related to climate change.

My friend has an iphone. I didn’t get one because me and touch screen don’t mix. However, she has this text messaging feature on her phone that I love. It groups textmessages by contact in cute little talk bubbles. Does anyone know what I mean and know if there is an app that I can download to get that feature on my curve?
